A Politician: The False Christ Of A True Leader.
A politician tells you what you want to hear in order to get your vote when he is running for office and in order to maintain your favor while he is in office. He is well learned and skilled in the art of getting along with people, especially voters. A politician is the "false Christ of a true leader" which makes him a true leader impersonator. Granted, some politicians, especially those that make a career of it, like McCain, are pretty good at doing this.

He uses effrontery to make sure he is always in front of people or groups of people. What is effrontery? The word speaks for itself: it comes from the word "front." He normally do this in town hall meetings where he can be in the line of sight and within auditory distance from the voters. He wants to convince others to believe that he is bold, tough, and intelligent. He wants to give the appearance of being Mr. Know It All and Do I All by using half-truths and half-lies about his accomplishments. If you really want to know who should take credit for the "bridge to nowhere" and "pork" in Alaska, ask the polar bears and the people that know the truth. Look it up in the net! Then read Palin's acceptance speech. Is Palin a lier?
If a politician cannot accomplish this type of effrontery, then he resorts to tactics such as getting his picture in the newspaper, his name mentioned on the radio, and he makes sure he comes out on any television news program available. He makes sure that others blow his horn loud enough to be noticed. He even pays top dollars for it. Does this remind you of McCain? If it does, than you can include Palin. Politicians are like the blind leading the blind: they will America into a ditch!
BUT READ ON MY FELLOW AMERICAN VOTERS, READ ON!
Here is one trick that I learned from a friend of mine (May he rest in peace.) during the 80's. He would go and eat at a popular restaurant in town where most of "the king's court" would eat breakfast or dinner. Whenever the place was packed with people, he would have his wife or someone else call him there and the waiters to call him for him in over the loud speaker so that everyone could hear his name. This was a very effective tactic! This was free advertisement and a form of effrontery at its best! People who were new to the community learned his name even before they met him. He was already ahead of any future opponent. And he did get results? You bet! The bottom line
