I admit it. I am a Guitar Hero addict! There; I said it! After having confessed my obsession with all of you, I must also admit to you I do not use these cheat codes. I want to beat the game fair and square, with my own ability. I must tell you that my son, (God love him,) is the one who got me addicted to what has become my obsession. I must also tell you, that he, indeed does, use cheat codes, and always has. (He didn't get that flaw from ME, as I abhor cheating in any shape or form.) That being said, here are some cheat codes that I have seen him use at times he has came over to play the Guitar Hero games with me.

In order to enter these cheat codes:
From the main menu go to options, cheats, enter new cheat. Remember, you have to strum while pressing down the corresponding buttons. The notes I have put into parenthesis are held, and strummed together.

• Hyperspeed - O B O Y O B O Y: There are 5 levels of Hyperspeed, with level 5 being totally INSANE! (the notes are so fast, it looks like one big blur!) To switch between each level of hyperspeed, press the green button while the code is highlighted (and yes, my son can play on level 5.)

• Large Gems - G R G Y G B G O G B G Y G R G (GR) (RY) (GR) (YB) (GR) (BO) (GR) (YB) (GR) (RY) (GR) (GY)

• Performance Mode - (RY) (RB) (RO) (RB) (RY) (GB) (RY) (RB)

So there you have it, Guitar Hero aficionados. You wanted cheats, you got 'em. (I do know that the Hyperspeed code, will work on other Guitar Hero games also, as I have watched my son enter that code into the other games).
I can only say that I am proud of myself, for working myself up from the Easy mode all the way up to Expert mode in the last 7 months by not using any cheat codes! I have earned my status as "Rock Star" by my own determination! This game will not defeat me!
