Poetry: The week

Silly Week,

It is only Sunday and a fun day
Though I cannot have my way
And enjoy the sunny day
Followed by a Monday

I don't like Mondays
Even if they are sunny days
Ruining all my fun days Sundays
Creeping into other days like Saturdays

Under a rain cloud pouring nothing but those Mondays
And ruining the entire week and all my fun days
When I love to have fun in many ways
Before I know there goes Fridays

Tuesdays and Thursdays are also fun days
My daughter goes to school dressed in her ways
And Wednesdays are over-the-hump fun ways to spend the days
Even if it thunders above pouring nothing but those dreadful Mondays

All days would be fun days including Mondays if I only had my way
And to have a holiday from Monday to Sunday I would say
To create a simple fun day
Out of Monday

But who am I to say?
