scarves and masks over their mouths and nose to breath in the cold weather. Extremely cold air is very damaging to your lungs. Yet look what you force all of us to do. We are not criminals. We are real human beings who just happen to enjoy tobacco that is all. We are not child molesters, we are not rapist, we are not murders (though many antis' would have you believe that we are), we are not cheaters, and we are not vile individuals.
Then we come to the phrase of "Then just quit!" Why should we have to quit doing something that we enjoy? I know, I know, it is harmful to us and others. Guess what, I have a news flash. So is drinking alcohol, so is promiscuous sex with strangers, so is drug abuse, so is drunk driving, so is eating fast food, so is driving and talking on your cell phone, so is driving while sleep deprived, so is driving too fast, so is driving recklessly, so is riding on a motorcycle, a bicycle, and roller blades. So is sleeping around on your spouse! All of these things if done in excess and recklessly will not only harm you but others. What do you propose now, banning all that I mentioned? Why is it ok for the average 20 something to go to your local bar or pub and get all liquored up and walk out with a stranger to have sex? Why is it ok for people to drive while talking on their cell phones or even worse, to text while driving. I have seen this and these situations have caused horrible, deadly accidents.
I have another news flash for you, smelling cigarette smoke, simply smelling it does not cause any harm to you or anyone what so ever. Period. Then there are these studies that claim that parents who smoke with their children in the car are destroying their children's health as well. Of course this study was done with all windows up and the driver chain smoking yet again. Here is another news flash; I do not know one smoker who drives around in their car with the windows up. Not even when it is zero degrees outside. They turn on their heaters and roll down their windows at least half way. Not even smoker's like being in a room that is filled with smoke and no air circulation. I am serious here people. These bogus studies and horrible lies have to quit.
Do any of you even realize the door you opened by allowing the government to ban smoking? Smokers are now denied employment! How does smoking detract from our ability to do our job and do it well? What about the person who is over weight and loves to eat too much. They are actually unhealthier
