Every year at my daugther's school they hold the Christmas bazaar so that every child in the school can buy their family members, and themselves, gifts for a small amount of money. The Moms who organize this yearly event do a great job and make it possible for every child to buy gifts as possible for relatives and even friends for a small amount of money. I send my daugther into school with ten dollars and she comes home with extra gifts for about five people.

What can you buy for Christmas for under ten dollars? The possibilities are endless.

Here are ten gift ideas under ten bucks:

1. One year the Moms knitted winter scarves that sold for about three dollars each. And they sold so fast I barely had time to even look at one before a child snatched one out of my hand with glee in her eyes.

2. Besides buying inexpensive presents at school bazaars, you can buy inexpensive earrings for any woman for under ten dollars. Yes, you can, certain big box stores have earrings for really great prices all year long. And many big name more expensive stores, have staggeringly great sales at Christmas time that when you utilize their coupons you can buy a decent pair of earrings for about $9.99.

3. For a person who is a writer, you can buy a decorative notebook and an inexpensive pen for under ten dollars. This way the writer in your family will be so happy with a notebook showing their personality on the front. For years, my husband bought me the super inexpensive notebooks that were black. Wow, that denotes my personality. Not! In January buy up the clearance notebooks that have every kind of decorative touch for half the orignal price and you will have notebooks for yourself, family members, friends, and they won't think you are cheap either.

4. Buy a gift set of lotion at a big box store such as Wal-Mart for el-cheapo prices. Splurge for the better sweet smelling stuff for a little more money. People will think you are so thoughtful.

5. Buy Christmas ornaments on sale or just days after and get huge reductions. Buy ornaments in a decorative box and you've got it made. You can put several of the same ornaments together and give them away as gifts. Certainly many people have color schemes for their holiday trees and decorations but newly married couples, a newly divorced friend, or a child that just moved out can always use a helping hand.

6. Buy all kinds of gifts right after Christmas. Don't wait two weeks because anything of value will be gone. One year two days after Christmas
