The Daydream

My little ol' pony with mane so long,
Spinning and sliding, nary a hoof placed wrong.

Cowboys and cowgirls dressed in their best,
Hoping that this time, they'll beat all the rest.

Number five in the go, ain't nothing to it,
Trust in my partner, like a glove, we fit.

Alone in the ring, all eyes on us,
Turnarounds his specialty, with never a fuss.

Then two fast big, one slow small,
Circling anytime is the simplest of all.

Swapping leads with the greatest of ease,
Little pony of mine, he's so anxious to please.

Turn him loose, running hard, down the long side,
A whispered whoa, a pause, then the big slide.

Eleven is the number, hang on to your shirt,
The perfect straight tracks, left in the dirt.

THE SCORE is posted, the best of the rest,
We finally won; little pony passed the test!
