She is writing this.
She is writing that.
She even has her winter writer's hat.
Her candles lit, her page waits.
Her fingers arthritic due to the winter cold.
She needs to publish one more piece to barter
for the next months lease.
The world is white with winter's pen.
The next step for the writer is to ascend.
It would not hurt to throw a little holy water in.
A masterpiece who befriended long ago,
Demands the energy of a winter's snow.
Her winter guides softly speak to her.
This gentle season allows for the words to flow.

To right the wrong
Of writers who lie
And understand not
The truth before them.
A writer examines
Needles of thought
Needles of thought prick my head
Until even the sawdust of my brain
Must respond.
Through threads of memories
