The Blanket You Wear
There is little more comforting after a long day than a cup of tea and some pajamas. When ever in doubt, pajamas make a wonderful gift. Valentine's Day, birthdays, and Christmas, everyone loves pajamas. Choosing pajamas that will not only be like, but loved is important. Here are some things to think of:

There are a lot of different options when choosing pajamas. There are flannel, cotton, silk, footed, gathered, ones with cartoons and more modest solids.

If you are unsure of one size or another, go one larger. Pajamas are one thing that buying a size too big isn't always a bad idea. Also, they may shrink, depending on what fabric they are made of.

As far as fabric, there are flannel, silk, and cotton, along with many other fabrics. When choosing a gift a mid weight pajama fabric is best. Not too hot and not too chilly, so they can be worn all year round. A nice cotton blend is always welcome; soft and cushy, yet breathable for those warmer evenings. Touch the fabric. If it seems too scratchy, too stiff, find another kind. Pajamas are a wonderful thing, but nothing is worse than pajamas that itch.

Color and Print is a decision that truly depends on who you are purchasing them for. Pajamas are made to be fun, with cartoon characters, bright colors. Choose a set of pajamas that makes you smile. After all, if they're too embarrassing (covered in some rendition of candy bars) you're the only one going to see them. If buying a gift and you're unsure what to get, go with solid colors. White black and grey are good neutral colors. If you're buying for a child, chose bright colors or a fun design.

Sometimes a bath robe is a good alternative type of pajamas. When choosing a bathrobe, you need to consider both feel of the fabric, length, and the fabrics response to being wet. Like with other types of pajamas, try to find a fabric that is both soft and fluffy, and will also react well to some water. If buying a gift, choose a solid color, perhaps a cotton blend fabric and a mid length. A robe too long can feel like it gets in the way.

Pajamas are a great gift for every one of all ages. They're always functional and exciting to get. With these tips, buying pajamas as a gift for you or your loved ones will be both easy and lots of fun!
