Tips for preparing your home for a new kitten

Preparing our home for a new kitten was a delightful experience. Since my kids are all adults it was like a new baby was ariving in the family. Floors were washed and blankets laid so that we could make our home as comfortable as possible for the new arival. We even made a bed in the corner with lots of toys to play. Kitten food is also a necessity. We have kitten pouches, kitten crunchies, kitten sticks and lots more to choose from. A new kitten should also be given some kitten milk to help strengthen teeth and bones. The kitten tray should always be kept clean and your kitten should always feel loved and wanted. If you would like to have a kitten that goes out make sure that if you don't want more kittens from a female get them nutored and always get injections to prevent them from becoming ill. The litter tray and litter was bought and the time for arrival was nearly there. The hardest part of our new arrival was the naming of this lovely piece of fur. We used names from every letter of the alphabet and pondered over what we would call him. We pondered from Alfy to Wilbert but none could ever replace the name we found. Eventually whilst getting excited on the date coming soon when our furry friend was arriving we were watching a movie and came across the name Gandalph. He has stuck with that name ever since. None of us really knew what to expect the nature of our kitten to be but now we find he is a wonderful bundle of joy. The reason for him being a bundle of joy is that we had him nutored at around 6 months old. Be fore this he was biting and scratching and becoming a huge pain in the bum. Perseverance has paid off now though and we love this little boy to bits. He is now a year old and all his new toys have worn so time to buy some new ones. He has balls, rattles, fluffy strings, toy mouses etc. A good toy also to have is one that has a small bit of catnip. Give your cat all the love and you will find that he or she will love you all of their lives. Prepare also that if you want a kitten that this little bundle of you could be with you for the next 20 years. The tricks we found he has learned over a year are but a few but the best is the answering of the phone when it rings and hiding in the tumble dryer. He has also learned to give us kisses and has the most cheekiest face in the world. It is true what many people say. Having an animal is like having another child but I wouldn't change it for the world.
