"Free Passage To Paradise!"

As many Christians believe, the Lord God had planned the entire life span of this world, beginning to end, before He even formed the heavens and earth! Within that plan, He realized the blood of animal sacrifices for the remission of sins would become inadequate. So God devised a new plan of salvation which would cover over sin. This revision was to cover ALL sins for both Jews and Gentiles, from the beginning of time to whenever the end of this earth takes place! He sent His Son, Jesus to die "once for ALL" on the cross...the Perfect for the imperfect, that we might taste the rewards of heaven, (see Heb. 10: 1-18).

The news of Christ coming into the world to die for our sins is commonly referred to as the "Good News" or the "Gospel Message." To the Christian, it is the biggest and most important event in the history of the world. The information was foretold to us in the Old Testament, (there are other examples, but the one spoken of in Isaiah, chapter 53 is familiar to most). The full plan of redemption through Christ Jesus, however, is fully revealed to us in the New Testament. These are the 27 books, authored by the Apostles with the guidance of Christ and the Holy Spirit, also called the Christian Gospels. It is God's covenant which He has made with us, perfect and complete, according to His purposes.

Whatever was important for us, as His children today, to keep in our lives from the Old Testament, God carried over and included in the New Testament, (i.e. several of the original Ten Commandments, as well as, general teachings told to us in parables by Jesus). He then made it perfectly clear that His Son Christ Jesus was "...the way, and the truth, and the life, and no man comes to the Father except through me (Jesus)." Christians today are not under such a law as that of the Old Testament. We live by God's grace, and as such, with the perfect blood of Jesus to cleanse us, we can share in the delights of heaven's glory, as heirs with Christ!

We must never loose sight of the fact that Christ Jesus is our passage to paradise. He laid down His life for us, that we may have the opportunity to believe in Him and live as He taught us to live. What a great thing it is to know that we have the "perfect blood of Jesus" to stand up for us in that final day! It covers over the sins of those who truely follow the Word and Will of God through Jesus, right into the eternal rewards of life eternal.

Now if THAT isn't really 'Good News,' I don't know what is!
