A look at the side effects of green tea

Drinking green tea comes with side effects. Green is a natural herb that is not a drug, but does have its side effects just like many drugs do. When you drink green and take prescription drugs it is a good idea to check with your doctor to find out if you can drink green tea. Green tea may affect the absorption of your drugs into your bloodstream and may enhance or completely stop your prescription drugs from working.

Green tea is grown in many different areas of the world and originates from China and Japan. Green tea has side effects because it is an herb that comes from fermented leaves giving it a very strong concentration of powerful antioxidants. Green tea is not regulated by the Food and Drug Administration. thus, you may obtain hardly any healthful green tea in a tea bag.

Studies have proven that drinking green tea every day has many healthy side effects. Green tea contains antioxidants that have polyphenols that can help fight off free radicals. This helps ward off cancer, heart disease and and kind of slows down the aging process.

Green tea is said to do so much more than just fight free radicals in your body. Green tea can be used in aiding in the digestion of food in your body. It helps to treat gas, and promotes mental capability. When drinking a lot of green tea in one day, the opposite can happen, Your stomach can become upset. When combining ginseng with green tea, don't drink too much, because your stomach may become very upset to the point of having non-stop diarrhea. Due to the caffeine contained in green tea, it can cause a jittery effect, and keep you from getting a  good night's sleep.

In more studies done on green tea it has been shown that this powerful herb can also help inhibit the growth of cancer cells in human beings. Breast cancer is said to be kept at bay by drinking at least five cups of green tea every day. Although, women who are in the more serious stages of breast cancer are said to not be helped by drinking green tea.

Drinking green tea has been proven as a useful tool in controlling blood sugar. It actually helps regulate glucose levels in people and helps prevent the development of type one diabetes. And here we all thought it just made us look a little younger

Green tea will cause some medications to be less effective due to it's strong herbal effect, such as certain blood thinners. . Ask your doctor for more information while taking medications, and drinking green tea so you get the full strength and don't harm your health.
