Top-selling products online

The top selling products online are probably books, DVD movies, music cd's and info products or ebooks. The big question is, can you make money selling any of these things online? Probably not much on the first three. There are just too many big online and offline retailers already selling these products.

Selling info products in the form of ebooks is something that the average person might be able to make a little money with as an affiliate selling other people's products. The way to make real money in this arena is to author your own ebook but that's not something the average person is going to do.

So what products CAN you sell online to make some money? I'll tell you what to look for. Look for products that there is a need for and preferably a GROWING need and that not everyone is selling.

Here is an example, http://www.mj.jerkydirect.com

It's a great product and it's consumable, meaning people will want to buy it again when they use it up so you have repeat customers. It's not a "one time" sale where you will have to find new customers to sell to all the time. It's not something that every big name online (or offline for that matter) retailer is selling, so the small time operator has a fighting chance at a market share. It's has an affiliate program so anyone can make money as well as enjoy the product themselves.

Another example is all natural products that don't pollute. People are getting more concerned with protecting the environment so there is going to be a growing demand for products without toxins or ingredients that pollute. If you feel this way, join an affiliate program that offers these products and you can make money selling something you really believe in. You not only do your part to help the environment by using the products yourself, but by offering these products for sale, you encourage others to use them as well and make money doing it.

I guess what I'm saying is, you have to find products that you feel good about using yourself and then you can become successful selling them. You have to find your own niche and not try to compete with mega-sellers that have a huge market share already sewn up. Just because a product is the best selling on the internet doesn't mean you can make money selling it.

Good luck and thanks for reading.
