everyday demons sent to influence and torment humanity. Many are familiar to you. There is Lust, Envy, Greed, Hate and Vanity. Over there is Anger, Selfishness, and Apathy. Over there is Insanity, Depression, and Despair. They whisper incessantly, dulling the senses and blinding the eyes of the soul. Some encourage violence and abuse against children or family. "
Shuddering, I whispered, "What can we do?"
"Do not despair. Look again and tell me what else you see." said Truth.
Again, I noticed the light and the dark standing beside each person. As I concentrated, the light seemed to grow more distinct and I realized they were beings like Truth.
He said, "Each person has a guardian assigned to their lifetime. Most are there to stand guard and to whisper encouragement, hope, and direction. Sometimes they are allowed to do battle in your behalf. The guardians gain their power from prayer, either from their charge, or from others who intercede on their behalf. The more prayer surrounds a life, the more that life is covered in the peace and Holiness of God."
"Then prayer is very important", I said.
"Yes," Truth replied. "There must be those who pray for themselves, seeking closeness to God, and those who pray for their families and friends. Even more important, are the ones who hear the promptings of God's Spirit and pray for those who have no one, or those who are totally unaware of the Creator and His importance.
Prayer is what connects man to the realm of God. It becomes a conduit through which flows unlimited love, mercies and grace to uplift, encourage and teach. Without prayer, the human existence is left to struggle under its own meager power. Without that lifeline, you can accomplish nothing. This is what I came to show you. You must make prayer your priority. Prayer must be unceasing and continuous, like breathing. This focus on prayer will strengthen the Divine spark within you and strengthen and empower the guardians to fight in your behalf. Do you understand what you have seen?" he asked.
I swallowed and said, "Yes".
"Then my task is fulfilled, my visit complete. It is time for you to return. You are ready now." said Truth.
I closed my eyes, straightened my shoulders, and nodded. "I'm ready".
The sales clerk said, "Yes, you're done here. You are ready to go."
I blinked. Normal again. I whispered to myself, "I understand. I'm ready to begin."
