The Xbox 360 is an evolution of gaming. In 2009 the Video Game Industry is expected to make more than the Box Office and Music Industry. There will obviously be some games that will stand out, and others out to steal your money. So if you are a 360 gamer, you might want to buy these games:
Over-hyped - Yes, but it is still a game to play. If you own a 360 you are expected to have Halo 3. The campaign is decent, with its release of new vehicles and weapons. The graphics are great, and so is the sound. But the real fun in this game is Xbox Live. There are numerous playlist, some ranked, and others that allow you to play with friends all on the same console. There are Double EXP weekends, and you go on rate basis. Recruit-Private-Corporal-Sergeant-Gunnery Sergeant-Lieutenant-Captain, etc. You are matched with other players according to level, but the real indicator of their skill iis their rate. Along with Matchmaking, there is the "Theater" which is the ability to watch and record recent games and "Forge" which allows you to make your own levels.

Call of Duty 4 (COD4)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare turned heads and dropped jaws when it was realization. Eerily realistic graphics and sounds gets you absorbed in the world, unto the point that you forget you're sitting in your basement. The Online Community is huge, and the storyline is good, along with some twists.
9.4
Grand Theft Auto IV (GTA4)
Although this game is not for children, it is still amazing. This game will leave you breathless. The storyline and gameplay will have you hooked, until you feel like you're "Niko Bellic". The online community isn't as thriving as Halo and COD, it is still worth playing. Rated 10 on Gamespot.
9.5
Guitar Hero (GH) 1-4
This music game owned the market. Although Rock Band made a splash, Guitar Hero is the original in the music market. You play with a guitar controller, hitting fret buttons and strumming in time to popular songs. A great party game, but not an amazing online experience.

The next generation military-horror game really drew attention. It's bloody and gory and not recommended for children. The weapons are nice, expecially a Lancer: A machine gun mounted with a chainsaw perfect for sawing through enemy Locust. The online gameplay is mediocre.
8.9
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
A nice look fantasy game, with endless quests and equipment. Oblivion has a huge world to explore and has nearly infinite gameplay time. Downloadable content is the only reason you'd need Xbox Live. No multiplayer.
8.8
So if you call yourself an Xbox 360 Gamer...make sure you have these games.
