While The World Looked On
911, an ironic date
while the world looked on
at America's fate
aircraft and crew,
boxcutter and blade
were part of the evil plan
terrorists laid
while the world looked on,
stunned and afraid
an innocent sight,
a plane in the air,
brought massive destruction
and endless despair
while the world looked on
with each breath, a prayer
twin towers crumbled
three thousand died
while the world looked on
bowed its' head and cried
