It is back to school season and the last thing you want to do is spend extensive time in the kitchen. The following is a quick (under 30 minutes) recipe for shrimp fried rice.
Recipe 1: Shrimp fried rice with garlic
Ingredients:
1 lb of cleaned, peeled and deveined medium shrimp
1 finely chopped garlic
1 finely chopped onion
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of parsley
1 teaspoon of cilantro
2 cups of plain or brown rice
Preparation:
1) Pour the cup of olive oil in a medium pan
2) Saute the shrimp until cooked
3) Add the plain or brown rice
4) Add the black pepper, parsley, and cilantro
5) Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until rice is tender
6) Serve while hot; cool remainder for later
Serving: 4
