There are many things to consider when you hire a maid. But most important of all is the honesty of the maid. After all, you are letting this person into your home and access to all your personal things. And there will be times when you leave the house and leave the maid all alone with all your belongings. When you hire this maid she has to be a person you can trust.
Another important thing is compatibility. Can you get along with this maid. Is she curteous and polite and friendly and of course neat. If she is not neat in appearance how can she keep your house clean? Keep this in mind when you hire a maid.
When you hire a maid, you have to have some one who is willing to take orders. What good is a maid if she just does what she wants to do, and many maids are like this. They especially balk at doing difficult things, like washing windows, etc. So be sure what you want your maid to do before you hire her.
And then there is the question of money when you hire a maid. How much money does she want and how much money can you afford to pay? This is a make or break deal, so get this out of the way in the beginning. Also be sure that she is willing to fill out a form and pay taxes to the government on her salary. When you hire a maid you have to be sure everything is legal.
When you hire a maid take care. Take the time to make everything clear to your new maid and have a complete understanding of what you expect from her. Remember, if she is happy she will do a good job. This is important to remember when hiring a maid.
Another thing to consider when hiring a maid is the hours. How many hours does she wish to work and what hours does she want to work? There is a big problem with maids if this is not solved in the beginning. Sometimes you can be flexible and if the work is done in a shorter time, you can let her go home early. So the work can be paid by the amount of work done or hours worked. Make an agreement that is good for both you and your maid.
If you follow these suggestions for hiring a maid, I think you and your maid will be happy.
