Etched in Glass.
You wanted to have my words etched in glass. The words pressed into something solid, yet as transparent as a perfect diamond, gleaming silver across a prism surface. Where light could travel in and out and sunshine could produce color from within.
A gentle script maybe, Beveled. A crystal reflection of my love for you and something tangible, like a statue, like a monument to place upon my desk or hang upon my wall, for me to touch the places where maybe you left a single fingerprint in between my words.
Smooth as a sheet of ice. My words for you would skate across its surface leaving traces of the dust a sharpened blade had carved. Glittering words, a sparkling expression of all you mean to me.
Gentle as a frost my words would settle into glass for all eternity. Is that the certainty? To give me such a gift for me to handle with extreme care so as not to break. That is who you are to me. Our common wanting just as fragile, where I look in and you peer out, so clearly we see each other through.
My words on that glass would be a breathless kiss condensing in its heat. My hand against your hand, my lips against your lips, yet separated by a thin window pane so close and yet so far away.
Those words may be mine but they were my gift to you.
Your heart is where my words are etched. I will carry it through my lifetime, taking extra special care to keep it safe and protected. Pure clear glass our love shining brilliantly forever.

Thoughts of You
Thinking of touching you,
as you lay next to me,
laying closely behind you,
and kissing you softly.
Thinking
Love ones always told me
That my soul mate is out there
But I never thought that those words were true
Until I met
It sang to me, the nightingale
As it flew through the night sky
I listened to its melodic tale
Putting you in my minds
by Betty Blake
Thoughts of you etch huge grins on my face.
I like the way the corners of lips curl in such
mischievious ways. Oh, the twinkle
