Causes of armed conflicts

As long as the human animal is on earth, there will be war. Armed conflict has plagued mankind during all of at least the past 6,000 years and won't end until the stupid, destructive animal has the weapons to destroy the planet. And considering today's situation, that will happen in a generation or less. Wars have always been started by those ... mostly old men ... who don't have to actually fight them: kings, chieftains, politicians, religious leaders, generals, admirals and greedy industrialists. The people who die in wars are most healthy young men who have no family nor political connections and innocent civilians unlucky enough to be in the path of battles. Maybe the microbes that emerge after the final nuclear explosion will do a better job. This opinion is not from a professional pacifist, but one who served in World War II and Korea.
