The Ivorian president Laurent Gbagbo definitely was designated Saturday as candidate of his party to the presidential election of November 30.
What a shame for the Ivorian leaders. How could they talk about democracy when they are far away from practicing it?
After 8 years of presidency, how can President Laurent Gbagbo be designated again as candidate of his party to the presidential election of November 30?
After 8 years of presidency, if elected this year which comes with 5 years terms, altogether, President Laurent Gbagbo will be president of the Ivory Coast for 15 years.
Again President Laurent Gbagbo as the presidential candidate for the FPI, as if beside him there was not any other leader, intellectual within this political party, a leader who is ready to properly lead this country.
It is not because President Laurent Gbagbo created the FPI that nevertheless he should be its presidential candidate. Is this the meaning of the democracy for which he fought for all these years?
In this case, people such as Mamadou Koulibaly and others, are these people nothing but followers?
Even If we should forget about these people called "old games", doesn't the FPI has young people who are intellectuals, who studied in prestigious universities around the world, notably Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Science Po etc. Aren't there very intelligent young leaders who hold their country's development strongly to heart, and ready to do all for the well being of their country?
Finally, what good does it do to young leaders to get higher education and not given the opportunity to serve their country?
President Laurent Gbagbo, candidate of the FPI,
President Bedie, candidate of the PDCI,
Prime Minister Ouattara, candidate of the RDA.
Why does it always have to be the same "old games", not that the country needs some new "old games." What this country needs is a fresh approach, meaning young leaders, intellectuals, men and women as well.
Patriotism shouldn't also mean prioritizing the next generation?
Aren't the Ivorian leaders scarifying their future generation to satisfy their own greed and hunger for power?
For sometimes now, President Laurent Gbagbo, has the tendency to close his speeches by saying "God bless the Ivory Coast, God bless Africa." And we all know he is closing his speeches the American's way. Don't we all know that the Americans politicians never forget to say "God bless America?"
President Laurent Gbagbo could also do it the American's way by giving the opportunity to young
