I no longer attach an income amount with the working middle class. Recently, McCain stated that the middle class are making three million dollars a year. How absurd is that notion or rhetoric? America is comprised of working class people who are losing their homes and can not pay their medical bills. One devastating illness can bankrupt most American families. In my case, all that needed to happen was one person being taken out of the equasion because of an illness. One stable income will not support a family of three.

The working middle class families are just working for food and fuel. The hopes of a college education for their children must be deferred. So my advice is to count on each other, because the benefits of being a working middle class American are disappearing before our very eyes.I was taught to budget the household, a certain amount set aside for savings, food and fuel were automactically budgeted into the equasion. Now that fuel is almost eqivalent to housing cost. There exist an outlandish notion that middle class people are the reason for our economic crisis we are in. Several of my hypothesis, on this theory blow that notion clear out of the water. The economic crisis, has not just effected the working middle class families, in America, but also our government as they are paying exorbitant fees for a barrell of crude oil and our money is deflated in most countries. The dollar has very little value in other countries.
I would like to know, "Why are we funding a war in Iraq instead of funding our most valueable asset, our future generations by providing education,so that they may compete in the global market place? "The American dream", for me twenty years ago was owning a home. I own a home in which I'm struggling to keep. Deferring my most recent dream is not an option for me. We want a college education for our daughter and we had it in reach, because we purchased a home eighteen years ago to live in and build equity in for our daughters education. Twenty years later we are sitting perched on the edge of a dream. My story is not unique and I realize this scenario befalls many hard working middle class families who are struggling to just survive.
Our military families that have sacrficed their sons and daughters to fight terroism must have viable lives to come home to and some of their families may not even have their homes anymore. That is a disgraceful epitaph on the "American Dream".
My solution has always been to vote,to lift your voices and
