A writer's prayer
I think should be
a solace blanket
from a mind set free.
If a writer's prayer
I should write
it would probably be
like this tonight ..
I pray from my soul
to give you a chance
to feel what I write
at just a glance.
I pray from my eyes
that edit my writing,
you find meaning somewhere
intriguing, inviting.
I pray from my hand
and the paper on table,
you see more than just
a writer's fable.
I pray from my ears
that you may hear
in my words
a silent tear.
I pray from my heart
to God above
that he understands
my undying love.
I writer's prayer
I think should be
a true reflection
to you, of me.

Poetry: A writer's prayer
by Ann Major
I need no hallowed halls to pray,
Nor church bells ringing to thank my days.
To be alive is much to live for
To be loved, is
Heavenly father I ask you
Please if you have the time
Take a look at the words I've written
See if you like the rhyme
Too often
by Sid de Knees
Oh Lord,
Oh Lord, let me scoop out their pains
and ease this moments writers block,
let me help them to write for you,
or find
Let my metaphors be extended.
Let my mind be quick.
Let my attention be unerring.
Let my details be keen as the eye of a surgeon
and
As morning dawns across the lands,
The world at peace, as God commands;
This is writer's prayer.
For governments that help
