Nanny's Angel lay down your head.
It is time to fold your wings in bed.
You are the light of each new day
but night time is your time to play.
Nanny's Angel swing from each star.
as your dreams send you flying far.
Dance in and out of the milky way
making night as magical as your day.
Nanny's Angel pray as you sleep.
Your soul is in a safety net to keep,
and as you awaken with mornings light
remember your travels of the night.
Nanny's Angel lay down your head.
Let me tuck you snuggly into bed.
Before the daylight lets you wake,
enjoy each journeyed dream you make.
Nanny's Angel, you adorable child
with meekness mingled with the wild,
know I love you with all my heart.
Dream sweet dreams. New journeys to chart.
Nanny's Angel, I am off to bed
to lay down my weary tired head.
In the morning when I wake,
to the park, you, I'll take.
