Alright people listen up-the woman psyche is never going to make complete sense. I, as a woman myself, cannot even understand other women. Frankly, I can't even understand myself sometimes. Basically, the key to understanding women is to pretend that you understand them. I know that this may sound foolish, but actually it is the smartest move on your part. Here are some examples of pretending you understand a woman:

COMPLAINING ON THE PHONE OR IN PERSON:
Most of the time if a woman is complaining, she just needs to vent to someone. If you agree with her and slip in certain phrases, pertaining to what she is saying, once in a while, she will be content. However, one thing I have learned through conversations with girl friends is to never, I repeat NEVER, try to give a woman advice, or tell her what she should have done, unless she asks you, "What should I do?" I know you only want to help, but if the woman doesn't ask for advice, do not give it to her in midst of her rage. She will only feel threatened, and will backfire at you, leaving your advice scattered in little pieces, never to be even thought about. Giving advice to a woman without permission to do so is about as pointless as trying to talk some common sense into a drunk person.

OBVIOUSLY UPSET:
When a woman is sulking in the corner, peering to see if you are watching, or breathing heavily (obviously trying to get attention) don't ignore her. Ask "What's wrong?" Sometimes, however this is a scary move because the woman doesn't shut up. A woman LOVES to talk about herself, and this doesn't always mean arogantly; a woman just loves to talk and the one thing she can always naturally talk about is herself. However, recognizing that the woman is upset does make her happy and sometimes she is only trying to get it off her chest to move on.

ROMANCE:
We all know that most guys aren't very romantic, but this still doesn't mean that woman don't mind not being romanced. So, men, if you want to please your wife/girlfriend, call her occassionally just to talk. Most likely she'll do all the talking, but she will consider it a nice gesture on your part. Also, surprise her once in a while. This doesn't mean drop all your money on some outrageously pricey purse she has been asking for; just make her dinner take her to place she has been asking about. My boyfriend surprised me a week ago with a collage poster of photos, old movie stubs, entrance tickets to places we visited, etc. It was very cute and I really appreciated the thought. So, guys, this doesn't have to be a big, pricey surprise, just something with thought.

So, (men) here's a personal manual to keep on hand whenever you're stuck in a confusing situation with a woman. Women may be very confusing, but it is easy to pretend you understand and still be able to make both of you content. Also, if ever find yourself talking to a woman and have no idea what she is talking about, just go with the old trick in the book, "smile and nod." Now, go out and snag yourself that woman!
