The bright rays of the sunshine,
Have long since left the skies,
And all throughout the land,
Mothers croon sweet lullabies.
Moonbeams light the oceans,
Stars twinkle overhead,
And tired little children,
Prepare to go to bed.
Little forest creatures rest,
Night jasmine fills the air,
And one hears children's voices,
Saying their good night prayer.
As peaceful slumber soothes them,
Angels stand watch from above,
Ensuring that these precious babes,
Know that they are loved.
