Bells of Redemption
I sleep in the dark, waiting for the call.
To end my dreams, and to dance in the spring.
All dreams cease in the silence
of the coming downpour.
I will forsake all the clouds
for the gentle touch of daisies.
You once had the power,
to fertilize my mind.
The music of old man Moses,
has put my mind in a trance.
Where did you sleep last night?
Was it with the angels in Hades?
Where ever you were,
or whomever you spent your time with.
I almost went to the ends of my mind,
to be with you on the Judgment day.
The sweet wine of arrogance
is forever bitter on the tongue.
Of those who search beyond their reach,
for the devil in disguise.
How could I be asleep for so long?
When the bells of redemption,
are ringing clear in the summer night.
Those bells were always playing,
I was just to drunk to notice.
