Poetry: The love of my life

by Deborah Michelle Jordan

Created on: August 27, 2008

And first there was he,
and then there was me,
and now there is we.

We are bright as the sun,
we will not be undone,
we two are now just one.

Will we survive in this world?
Will it tolerate our chord?
Will it give us the sword?

Live we will, while we don't know how,
live for the trees, the goats and cow,
live, and to this world - we won't bow.

Forever will come, go and begin,
Forever will take our breath - it will end,
Forever we know is in the wind.

And we will live forever.
