God is basically known for what He is. He is the Provider for all life. He is the one that all things owe their life to. It is His good pleasure to see His creation have life. He wants us to love Him. He gave us free will so that we can love Him willingly. His Great love for us is shown by His gift to us of our ability to choose Him or to choose otherwise. How could He be a Good God unless He gives us the ability and the option to choose for Him or not. He chose to give us life. True love, agape love, gives the gift of free will to choose to respond to love, or to turn from that great love.
God is love. He gives all things that are good by showing love to all His creation. Our ability to respond to that love is our choice, and is our unique way of responding to His care. God's great love for each of us must be understood in order to appreciate our life and the deeper levels of human life. Each of us has abilities and uniqueness that is all our own. Comparing ourselves to anyone else flies in the face of the value each human being has. It is up to each person to find how he can respond and glorify God in their life's undertakings.
Some people will look at another person who is not able to perform certain functions in society and may see that person as "less than" they are. This is the human and worldly look at the value of human life. Understanding that each life has value, gives each living person a unique place in the society they find themselves in. Each person can contribute to life, even if it is just a smile, that person is showing a part, a spark of God. That spark has infinite value in the eyes of God, because He made that person that way. Human beings need to understand that God is the judge and we are His handiwork. Judgment needs to be left to God alone, to keep people from making judgments, not people. When people judge, they look with the eyes of fallen man. Fallen man has many flaws, whereas God is perfect in every way. Human beings need to keep this at that top of their mind when looking at value and how other human beings may be valued by God. No one knows God's plan, but God. God Is, He Is Perfect.
How can a human being appreciate the wonder of who God is? Can a human really understand God? These are questions for the ages. They are rhetorical and really cannot be answered completely in our human imperfections. We are fallen creatures after the first man and the first woman. We have much to be understood in the ways of God. By definition of who God is, humans, as His creation, cannot understand the mind of God.
