It's worth the investment for you to have that luxury handbag to set off a business casual look and let them know who you are. Your wallet is also a key to your executive casual persona. Chances are you'll be using your wallet to get your credit card out when paying for that business breakfast, lunch or dinner. Or you could be taking your wallet out to retrieve a business card, regardless, make sure that it's in tip top shape.
Jewelry
Go for it! Accessories are often overlooked when dressing casual for business. That wonderful lapel pin, bright silk flower, earrings, necklaces and bracelets, all give a casual look an extra edge that takes it to another level. Beads, silver hoop earrings, they all work with a business casual look. Don't overdo it, remember it doesn't take much jewelry to show that you put some thought into your casual look. Your watch is an accessory that is often noticed by clients and others, in the workplace. Your watch is an accessory that not only tells time, but tells a lot about you. People in business, notice the watch you're wearing, they check it for the look but also for the manufacturer. If you're not able to buy that expensive watch, there are many styles available that offer you a lot of style. With watches, and your glasses, make sure that the lenses are always polished and clean.
Now that you've got the basic tools for dressing casual for business, there's something else that will help you make a statement about who you are. Your attitude, your confidence, and the way that you treat others is what's going to tell clients and co-workers that you're an executive. Ultimately, all you need to do is to believe in yourself and your abilities, and then you're free to dress any way you choose in business while looking just like an executive.
