Research shows that countries where the most milk is drunk have the most incidents of osteoporosis.
Many respected doctors now say to absorb and retain calcium better it is best to cut down on milk and dairy products and instead ACCOMPANY EVERY MEAL with green vegetables (especially cooked), citrus fruits, legumes, nuts, or soy. And to obtain vitamin D which is necessary for the absorption of calcium rather than Vitamin D fortified dairy products they recommend eating sardines, herring, salmon, tuna, egg yolk, and fish oils or spending 15 minutes in the sun three times a week because it is manufactured by the body itself by exposure to sunlight.
The reason being that research shows that high animal protein diets actually lead to a gradual decrease in bone density. THE PARTICULAR PROTEINS IN MILK PRODUCE ACIDIC ASH IN THE BLOOD. SINCE OUR BLOOD HAS TO BE SLIGHTLY ALKALINE ALL THE TIME, THE BODY WITHDRAWS CALCIUM FROM THE BONES TO NEUTRALIZE THIS ACID. So excess protein will weaken the bone. There is too much protein in today's cow's milk especially as too many cows today are NOT feed on vegetation - green grass. They are feed on protein and hormone rich feed mixes. Research also shows that countries where the most milk is drunk have the most incidents of osteoporosis.
There are no symptoms warning of osteoporosis. Usually until you actually break a bone you never know. They discovered early signs of osteoporosis in me when I went to see my doctor for something else pains in my wrist caused by the cold. An x-ray they took of my hands showed not as much white as they expected to see. So a few months later they wrote to me sending me to have a bone density test done.
Osteoporosis is a disease in which bones become fragile and brittle and more likely to break. So fragile that even with a little stress on the body like bending over or lifting a shopping bag can cause a bone to break. If not prevented or if left untreated osteoporosis can progress painlessly until a fracture occurs. Start preventing now. Increase you calcium and Vit D intake.
