Cheesecake is the dessert everyone loves the most, but have you ever tried a Cheesecake Shake?

Ingredients:

-1 pack (envelope) gelatin

-3/4 cup of water

-14 oz. sweetened condensed milk

-2 cups of whipped cream

-16 oz package of soft cream cheese

-Almond essence

-Skimmed milk power

-1 bag crushed ice

Method:

-Over a low heat, sprinkle the gelatin into the water and stir until dissolved

-In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese for 1 minute and gradually add the sweetened condensed milk

-Stir the gelatin into the mixture, then fold in the whipped cream using a wooden spoon. Do not over mix or the cream will lose its body and become too liquid

-Place the mixture onto a paper lined steel pan and place into the freezer for at least 3 hours

As your guests begin to arrive, follow the directions on the box and make a couple of large pitchers of skimmed milk.

-Into the blender, place large spoonfuls of the cheesecake scooped from the pan, along with 2 cups of skimmed milk

-Set on 'grate' and process for 30 - 45 seconds. You do not want to blend the mixture to a liquid; leave it so that is has a lumpy texture

-Using tall glass tumblers, fill each one with crushed ice and 1 drop of almond essence

-Pour the cheesecake and milk mixture into each glass and sprinkle with nutmeg

When serving these drinks before, or with a meal, do not use lemon to complement. It can be contradictory to the flavor of your main course. The addition of almond essence keeps the drink tasty without the tang which would not go well with any meat and vegetable luncheon.

Where each person is to be seated at the dining table, place a small envelope with the printed recipe inside on colorful paper. Your guests can then take this delightful recipe home and enjoy some Cheesecake Shakes when entertaining their friends.

Need a nightcap?

Cheesecake Shakes are superb when served in a pottery mug with a dash of brandy!
