My Truth of Choice
(I apologise for the mundane imagery... I think at this point it might be nescessary)
Here we are, some friends and I, standing at the edge of a universe which is ours only in part. It is often true that when one does not know the edge, what lies beyond remains unseen. This is infinity, this is life, here is the seed of potential. And because we have dared to journey, we know that no gap is impossible to bridge. The truth lies behind our eyelids, in and beyond our minds, at the tips of our fingers. It comes to us before we seek it, and once found, unfolds itself in its entirety. The implications of this we are learning to comprehend.
A million realities superimposed over one another, anchored in the concept of phenomenon. The only One Truth is the universal Every Truth, and because one thing is true, does not make the other interpretations less true.
Two colours of paint are mixed to create a third. The new colour is both of the colours of origin, yet, it is also neither, because it is new and different. Because it is neither, does not mean it is not also both. Because it is both, does not mean that the Truth of the New colour alone, suspended in its own body of space and time and perception, can in any way be discounted.
If you believe me a liar, that is your Truth, and you will take it to the grave, as I will mine. I seek not your truth, but my own.
The blind man develops alternatives to physical sight. He learns to distinguish physical features by touch. Is the image that he conjures in his mind in this manner, less true than the perception of one who does possess physical sight? Is it a lie, that a blind man can also then see?
A deaf man learns to feel and distinguish the vibrations of sound. Can he then not also hear?
The difference is this: The blind man's Truth of Sight, and the deaf man's Truth of Sound, is a different Truth to the Truth that might be yours. It is their own truth, relative to their respective Truths of Touch and Vibration. I can not distinguish colour by vibration alone, because my eyes can see it before I need to feel it. Does this render my Truth of Touch invalid? No. It is just a different Truth, and as much an element of the Every Truth as any other Truth.
You do not (i hope) believe that it is impossible to travel to the Americas from any given point in Africa. Yet, when you are in Africa, one of the only ways to 'see' the Americas would be from the bird's eye view of a world map. You might see photo's and documentaries,
