Life is precious and should not be frittered away by constantly looking on the dark side.
Our outlook in general should be realistically positive. Of course, true happiness is a paradox of life, but the joy of living from day to day, doing the things that give us the utmost satisfaction, is what life is really all about, in terms of our attitude and perspective. The freedom that we enjoy should be considered as a vehicle that helps drive our aspiration in the right direction, as we endeavor to achieve our objectives in life. We cannot ask for anything beyond being mentally and physically well, which renders us the capacity to extract the quint-essence of all that life can offer, by way of the freedom that we enjoy.
We do not have to be materially wealthy to take delight in life. All we need is the spirit to allow us to appreciate the beauty of Nature from which we can derive unlimited pleasure. Indeed, there is so much that life can offer, in the way of love and self-realization.
There are certain circumstances that may cause us to lose our grip on the reality of taking delight in life, such as a severe loss or failure in business, or any other kind of unpleasant experience that we may undergo; however, we can try to pick ourselves up once again, under our own volition and power, and focus on the delightful aspects of life, as long as we retain our faculties and feel free to enjoy the blessings of Nature, with all its simple amenities of freedom that is the cornerstone of its blissful edifice.
We can take delight in life in many ways, such as feasting our eyes on a flock of birds as they sail in poetic motion across the sky; admire the flowers and trees, the mountain and the ocean. We can take delight in life when we listen to symphonies; when we visit the zoo and wonder about the various species of animals and birds; when we see the stars twinkling, and when we take a deep breath and thank God that we are alive and well. Reaping the rich harvest of success through our unstinted efforts is also a source of joy that can cause us to appreciate certain aspects of life that can be rewarding and productive. We can also take delight in life each time we meditate in the sanctuary of a house of worship. This helps us to get off the beaten track of mundanity and experience a surge of spirituality that nourishes the soul, while assuring our survival.
Since Nature can never be confined or restricted, we derive the benefit of its unstinted generosity, with all its aspects of beauty and splendor. We have to see and find the truth that binds us to the reality of Nature that is nakedly displayed, so that we may see the transparency of its wonderous embodiment in many forms, by which we become inspired.
There are so many simple aspects of life from which we can derive pleasure and we do not have to go out of our way to find it.
