Brittany Morning

The mists have cloaked the earth with their protection from the sun
And dewsdrops hang on cobwebs, as the night-time hours are done.
Like diamonds they hang in strands that soon will disappear
When the brightest sun comes through the mist announcing day is here
The fairies lurk beneath the flowers in gardens everywhere
And only those who trust in them can know that they are there
The birds awaken to the day, and loudly do they sing
In welcoming another day and the birth of what is Spring
In Brittany, that little piece of earth in Nothern France
Where Breton folk live simple lives, and know the joy of dance
There is magic in the wishing wells, and treasures everywhere
Only revealed to those who seek, and a heart that tries to care
So tread the forest floor with care and seek and you will find
A trace of all the magic that the fairies left behind.
