Golf course reviews: Arcadian Shores Golf Club, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Myrtle Beach in South Carolina has always been a Mecca for golf enthusiasts with a multitude of golf courses to suit all levels of player and all pockets. North or South, Myrtle Beach is the places to be for a golfing holiday with wonderful places to stay, eat, shop and play golf. One of the best courses around is the Arcadian Shores Golf Club, Myrtle Beach, a course that all levels of golfer will enjoy. A test from the back tees, the course will not prove too difficult from the forward tees even with the water and sand hazards you will find along the way.

Arcadian Shores is a very picturesque and well -maintained course that you will want to play more than once. The first hole is one of the easier introductions but you will find some holes that will really test your length and accuracy. The par threes are reasonably short and there are a few shortish par fours but these are mingled with a few holes where bogey will be acceptable. The course might prove a problem for those who slice the ball too much with some water hazards that come into play off the tee. There are also a few holes where water comes into play on approach shots too. As in most water lined courses, it is always good to carry extra golf balls.

One of the real benefits of a course like Arcadian Shores is that it is situated in South Carolina, a place where you can play golf all year round. Playing in the summer will prove pretty hot and even oppressive but the other seasons are very pleasant and a joy. Arcadian Shores will not disappoint and will prove to be a true test of your game. The sand bunkers are filled with golden sand and although you may not want your ball to land in one, they are definitely a feature that adds to the aesthetic view of the course. Many golfers consider the look of a course to be an important feature and Arcadian Shores does not disappoint.

It is difficult to say how Arcadian Shores compares to other courses for money value as there are some that offer special deals. Arcadian Shores is not the cheapest green fee you will find but is a course you will certainly enjoy. Like most courses, there are some special offers at certain times and sometimes related to season. Make sure to find out if there are any coupons available in the local newspapers as this can lead to reduced green fees. Of the multitude of courses available, Arcadian Shores is one that will not disappoint, a golf course that may well have you visiting again.
