Steps of Baptism in Christ Jesus
I will start by saying to those reading this article, that not only is it necessary to be Baptized in the name of Jesus, but it is the single most important act you will accomplish in your lifetime.
But why, you may ask. My answer is this: Because the determination of our eternal life depends on this most sacred act of redemption. God Our Father gave his only son Jesus Christ to us, and through his suffering and death on the cross redeemed our sins. This single act of love saved us all from our sins, so we may live in the glory of heaven eternally with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We all want to meet our loved ones in blissful happiness, to dwell in the city of God, and remain there in perfect beauty and peace eternally.
Simple enough to understand this concept, but, more importantly, is that we must believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ truly is the son of the living God. We must live this truth day in and day out in our lives. The Blessed Rite of Baptism, in whatever age you are baptized, is the first important step on this road of life with Christ and His salvation .As you grow in the understanding of the teachings of The Christ, a second step appears. We must continue to bear witness for Him. These acts in our daily life are truly the steps to heaven.
It all begins with the initial step of Baptism, and then continues with r all of us living our lives each day for Christ, in our daily acts of Baptism, for Christ.
We continue to be Baptized daily when we over and over and over again, give our lives and our actions for Jesus. The continuation of our initial Rite of Baptism binds us closer to our Father in heaven.
The day to day decisions we make, the choices we choose at any given moment all reflect on and build on our Baptism for and in Jesus. We are clothed with His robe of goodness and marked as His chosen, on the day of baptism. We wear His mark in our hearts and souls.
We therefore are directed to live our lives accordingly for Jesus Christ.
The simplest acts of kind deeds done are all continuations of our Baptism.
A smile, a hello, and a thank-you to a frowning overworked grocery store attendant.
Assisting a person as they struggle to reach for an item on the shelf.
An act of kindness to a hurt animal and respect and love and care for all the creatures of God.
Allowing a rushed motorist to pass by without anger towards them, and adding a quick prayer that they will arrive safely to their destination.
A compliment to a neighbor
