How You Doing For Money?

How you doing for money, do you need a hand?
Maybe I can help out, I've got together half a grand
Tell me how the kids are, do they talk of me?
How you doing for money, I know nothing comes for free

How you doing for money now the times are lean?
When you recall comfort, is it like a dream?
You know we had some good times, those you won't confess
Maybe if we talked it out it might make the pain seem less

How you doing for money, do you need a drink?
I brought a bottle with me, I thought it might help us think
Maybe I've not changed much, like you'd want me to
But I've lost a lot of things & I don't want to lose you

How you doing for money, it's been a year or two
You may not be proud of me but I did it all for you
I promise that it's over, I can face the flak
I've got myself a job now. Would you take me back?
