Death
Religions Perspective
What is death exactly? Death is defined by the dictionary as
1 'permanent end of life in a person or animal
2instance of this
3ending or destruction.
So basically, death is when your or something else's life is vanquished. Well then if thats death explained, what happens after death? Many types of people have though about this and each have their own respective view. Two of the various views are going to be shown in this guide and explained a bit more. There are lots more religions but theya re not in this guide, Hopefully they are going to be shown later in my other guides.
First off, there is the Christian belief. The Christian belief says that when you die, you will be judged by God. God will then judge your life and see if you have been good or bad. If you are good, you get to go to Heaven. If you are bad, then you have to go to Hell. Heaven is described to be a wondrous place with all that you would want whereas Hell is a fiery pit filled with demons and the Devil himself waiting to punish you by methods of torture.
Secondly, comes Hinduism. Hindu devotes(The majority) believe that when a person dies, he is born again in the next life. The next life meaning every 100 years or maybe even 10 years. But there is sometimes a choice. You can choose the path of the sun or the path of the moon. Those who walk the path of the sun will not be reborn again whereas the people who walk the path of the moon will return in another life. Also, what happens to the person when he is reborn again? Will he have a good life or a bad life? This all depends on a number of factors. The factors include:
1.Deeds in his previous life
2.State Of Mind(Thinking which thoughts at time of death)
3.Time Of Death(On a auspicious day?)
4. Funeral Rites(Done properly or not) and lastly
5.Grace Of God.
These are two different views of religions on what happens after death. There are lots more religions with lots more views but the big question is WHO IS RIGHT? WHICH RELIGION IS SAYING THE TRUTH? Well my friends, the answer can not be said yet. None of the religions have strong enough proof that their view is correct. So maybe one day, when someone dies and comes alive again then he/she may tell us what the heaven/hell/rebirth/ was really like. Then perhaps we would find out what really happens after death. More articles coming soon. Perhaps the next one about Buddhism?
