I forgot how powerful the touch is in healing the body and mind.
Visiting my chiropractor last week, I found he added a massage therapist to his staff. After my adjustment, I asked if the therapist could spare thirty minutes to work on my neck, shoulders and back. I have learned to listen to my body and knew it needed work - physical work. Massage therapy was nothing new to me.
The therapist went right to the hot spots on my neck, shoulders and lower back. The muscles were as tight as a rusty screw. Her elbow on certain parts of my shoulders brought out a sweat.
"Why are you sweating?" she asked.
"Because you are about to kill me," I replied.
She apologized for being a little rough and continued the massage with a lighter massage technique.
When she was finished my body felt like it had been hit by a two-ton truck. But, it was a good feeling. She had worked all the tension out of my muscles, and the blood was enabled to flow better in my veins.

What takes place when someone who is a spiritual healer uses his or her hands for healing?
First, there is a psychological comfort that something is being done; the hands are regarded as energy fields, and in the same way the entire human body is regarded as an energy field.
Secondly, the degree of concentration during the laying on of hands plays an important role in this healing process. One"s hands, if used spiritually, are God"s instruments of healing. The more energy activity is stimulated in the hands, the better results.
Sometimes we might concentrate so much on our spiritual lives that we overlook the wonders of being present in our physical form.
When we are more aware of the fact that our bodies are also important in terms of our personal growth, we may find it easier to nurture them. One of the most powerful ways to do this is through
