Life and the Boredom Factor: Investigating the Incident of Boredom

The most fascinating aspect of human life is that we are complete and utter strangers unto ourselves. We are still in the infantile stages of learning about who and what we are, how we came about, and who or what created us. And for what reason? For what reason do we desire this knowledge?

According to legend (biblical scriptures), there was once a tree of knowledge of good and evil and a tree of life. And because the first man and woman created ate of the tree of knowledge when they were not supposed to, the tree of life was taken from them, and consequently, us.

Regardless of the elements of truth or fiction, can any of us deny of our insatiable quest for knowledge or our lustful desire for everlasting life?

In examining the contents of what we want to learn, it is obvious that our learning is for the purpose of determining our outcome as well as our reason for existence or purpose. And while most of us internalize individual purpose, there are some who choose to collectively understand.

Ultimately, we all desire to live longer, but for what reason? Without knowing how or why we came into being is it then practical to want to live forever without first knowing what forever entails?

I've never been religious, but I would never consider myself an atheist either. I grew up in a collective well of Native Indian spirituality, conservative religion, agnosticism, and pure wonderment. Until recently I've never read any of Darwin's theories and have only recently read the old and new testaments cover to cover. Instead I've lived my life observing, listening, questioning, and talking to others, myself and my surroundings about anything and everything related to origin.

I have proposed several theories including that we all exist within the retina of a much larger being, that God (something greater and more creative) exists only if we believe he/she/it exists, that God is a divided into billions and trillions of atoms and lives within each and every living thing, and that existence as we know it today evolved from a simple earth worm. So far, only Darwinism has broached anything so ludicrous as evolution from a simple worm.

At this point I stop to ask myself the hard question: does it really matter to me from whence we collectively evolved or where we'll collectively end up?

No. If history is any indication of who we are and what we are capable of, and of our unwillingness to change for the sake of good instead
