Poetry: On self-acceptance

Those People

Those people don't have to count their change.

They grab things haphazardly off of shelves.

They get to keep everything they put into their carts,

And never have to estimate tax,

Or hold their breath while waiting for the total.

They flaunt the white of their shoes,

And pressed tee's.

They live in gated,

Manicured,

Bubble-like worlds.

They speak gossip fluently,

Shunning the least and boasting the best.

They watch lawns as a hobby

And leave price-tags on presents.

...

Funny to think

I ever wanted to be one of

"Those People."
