My sweet little boy is growing so fast.
Diapers will soon be a thing of the past.
We race to the potty with great urgency.
He sits on his seat and we listen for pee.
Tinkles are greeted with a hoot and a holler.
A sticker is placed there just under his collar.
He is so proud of his big boy pants.
He just loves to do the potty dance.
But sometimes play can cause a distraction.
He doesn't realize it's time for action.
I ask and I ask "Do you need to go?:"
He shakes his head to respond with a "No".
A smell fills the air and I see that he's pooped.
I can tell you, my friends, that I've just been duped.

and hit poor startled nanny in the eye,
who fell and struck her head
on the knob

He gurgles and burps
He pees and he poops
When it comes to fine dining
He hasn't a clue
He sits in his chair
Banging his spoon
My Son
I never thought I would be so pleased,
with the spit up on my sweater that smells like old cheese.
I never knew how
