Guide to clothing styles that hide cellulite

I am a hair and make up artist for T.E.A.M (teamhairandmakeup.com) AND a wardrobe stylist for them. It's a bridal company. I can definitely give you good pointers on how to diminish the look of cellulite through your clothing.

*I've noticed that a BIG plus is: LAYERING!*

1. You want to wear that beautiful transparent floral top you have? Go a head and wear it over a tank top that is the color of the dominating color of your blouse! The tank has to be a little tighter than you blouse and as long as it. A big plus is if it has a built in support bra, for a clearer silhouette.

2. Workout clothes. Wear pants (never shorts) that are a thick, flattering material. A material that is not velour or fluffy, and definitely NOT lycra/spandex. I have three pairs of yoga pants that I work out in: they are black and have the fold-over waist that is SO FLATTERING! You can find them at American Apparel.

3. Mini skirts. They show your upper thighs which have the most cellulite on the leg. Wear tights, anti-cellulite hosiery or anything similar with boots. Very trendy, in style and flattering.

4. Pants. I have noticed that the more stretch the more visible cellulite is. This is true for jeans, slacks, casual, or dressy pants. Always get pants with some stretch so they show off your shape and not too stretchy or they show off your cellulite. If you get some pants with little bit of stretch they actually tuck you in where you need it and are generally thicker material so they hid most, if not all of the cellulite.

5. Extra tip. Avoid using lace underwear, especially the lace boyshorts under any dressy skirt or pants that are a solid color. The lace looks like cellulite under the formfitting clothing, opt to wear thongs or boyshorts that are seamless and not lace. Wear those lace undies under summer dresses, jeans, etc.

6. Shoes. Yes! Shoes have something to do with it too. When wearing heels or heeled boots, wear hosiery or tights/leggings. A heel makes your leg automatically flex a certain way that makes cellulite pop out of certain places that are not visible when the leg is totally relaxed. Don't want to wear leggings/hosiery? Opt for flats. When wearing a mini wear cute flat boots. Why not flat shoes? You look shorter, but if you're tall you can also wear flat shoes with minis.
