Poetry: Outbound

by Talin Sookassians

Created on: August 23, 2008

If I could go back to when it all began,
When I started falling apart,
If I could be given the chance I got taken away,
The one I let just slip out of my grasp so slick,
Telling myself everything will be alright,
If only I could tell myself to listen to my heart,
For once the outcome will be better I'm sure,
Though I know if I got that chance as nature knows
it too,
I'd block out my heart and everything it had to say
An wind up sitting here in these same shoes
