Certainly we shall not allow fear to be the admissible excuse for such an abominably immoral and inhumane atrocity, even if the decimation has waned to strategic reservation placement of their descendants over the years.

Continuing on this course, we are obligated not to forget the indigenous populations throughout Mexico, along with the entire region of Latin America, who for such a long spell have been and continue to be raped, murdered and socially oppressed through economic means via clandestine U.S. military operations, political/financial U.S. support of psychotic despots, and the economic stranglehold firmly set by the neo-liberal Washington Consensus and its structural adjustment policies. As far as the treatment of indigenous people is concerned, "America" has utterly failed in tracking the path of morality since day one.

Even more than a third of a millennium later, after supporting the governments of Indonesia, Iran, Iraq and Israel amongst others, Washington proceeds through undemocratic channels to graciously support internationally denounced governments like that of President Alvaro Uribe Velez in Colombia. This sterling example of contemporary immorality just happens to stand independently amidst the most appalling internal displacement figures in the hemisphere, as well as the world's highest assassination rate for union leaders and politicians. This is simply the most relevant example after more than a century of similar ignoble behavior.

Nevertheless, U.S. Ambassador to Colombia, William "The Tool" Brownsfield [1], relentlessly pushes the merry-go-round of immoral meddling by functioning as the poster boy for Plan Colombia, helping to keep it alive and well at the tune of several hundred million in U.S. taxpayers' dollars per year. As a consequence, aerial spraying with Glyphosate + (Super Round-up), which is illegal to apply in the United States, continues to poison the soil and water along with the rural peasants who depend on the land for their very survival. The level of immorality is multiplied when considering the Plan's repeated annual renewal since 2000, despite hard evidence that this invasive and reckless strategy has barely made a dent in the production of illicit drugs after nearly ten years, several billions of dollars, a wrecked environment in regions, and an escalating number of humans who have succumbed to illness or death.
