Naples, the jewel of Southwest Florida, is an outstanding alternative to the traditional winter holidays destination. Of course, this kind of excursion is reserved for those who enjoy tasting life and all of it's flavor. How about it - holiday in the tropics? Let's go!
Naples has a wide variety of accommodations available, including hotels, resorts and inns. The only catch is, you won't be able to find a room far from the beach!
Imagine sitting out on your balcony, leisurely enjoying your breakfast and admiring a georgeous view of the Gulf of Mexico. Such moments of serenity and relaxation are good for the spirit - this is what the holidays are for!
Don't worry about shopping - Naples makes for an incredible shopping experience. You can browse the boutiques at Naples 5th Avenue or 3rd Street South, and then make your way down to Bayfront, to visit the unique shops and talented artisans. Bayfront, is an enjoyable experience, with its European Architecture and red-brick walkways. Don't forget Waterside, Venetian Bay and Coastland Mall, which hold yet even more great shopping opportunities.
Food in Naples is fresh-inspired and flavorful. Here, you can sample the incredible seafood that Florida has to offer, including fresh Oyster, Grouper, Stoney Lobster, King Mackerel, Shark, Mahi-Mahi and Stone Crab! Cuisine includes Caribbean, Thai, Italian, Irish, French and American food.
Fun and relaxing activities won't be a problem. You can visit the Everglades or go on a guided cruise. Naples has fishing, canoeing and there are over 30 golf courses! You can take a tour on the Naples Trolley and view historic portions of the city. And let us not forget, the huge art district. Naples is a center for the arts - there are museums, art exhibits and theatre productions galore.
Nighttime is festive - the holiday spirit is here! There is live music, great food and entertainment to enjoy. In the evening, you can head down to the beach to see the Christmas boat parade - the boats are decorated with lights that give the beach a magical sparkle. It's too beautiful to miss!
Can you stay until New Years? The New Year's Art Festival along Fifth Avenue is a fun time for everyone and the perfect way to start the new year!
With so much to suit the whole family, Naples is a holiday to remember!
