Travel: Ten things to pack for a working holiday to Australia

G'day, mate! Before packing off to Australia you need to know what to bring, don't you? You don't want to bring too much, and you don't want to forget something. It is important to pack with organization and with confidence. Confidence? Of course confidence. All those things you think you need to bring can be somewhat overwhelming. This is definitely a chore to attack with courage.

Besides the bare essentials there are always some minor details that you might want to pack depending on which country you are headed. Australia? Easy. Khaki shorts, hiking boots, and some sunblock. Or some of those cool safari hats you're allowed to wear down there.
But in all seriousness what is a necessity to make a good working holiday in Australia. Well, first you might try to get an airplane ticket. Unless you want to take a boat. Or of course there is the option of walking and swimming for some of the more adventurous. (That was the joke part.)
One thing to never forget to bring to mucky Australia would be some good, old fashioned bug spray. Those little buggers will get you every time without some of that repellant. And ladies, go light on the perfume and lotions. In fact, don't wear any. After a nice humid day in Australia, it won't matter anway. And those bugs just love perfume.
And now we get back to those safari hats. Those are a serious necessity on the Australian landscape. Why? Heatstroke is a killer in Australia. Remember to stay hydrated and in the shade as much as possible during your stay. Sunglasses and an umbrella are also practical for a stay in Aussie land.
Light, comfortable clothing is a wise decision. Bring long pants and shirts as well. Hiking boots would actually be another necessity of Australia, considering its ruggedness.
Those are the absolute essentials to stay alive in Australia. But what about the necessities to keep it from being just work, and let it be a holiday.
Always remember to bring your music player with you. It can help you chill anywhere on earth and you'll need it in Australia too, mate! Reading material is another must. Make sure not just to bring drab, texty books. Bring along fun, attractive stories that are going to make you want to just relax and reach for a book. Remember, the best way to make the most of your visit is to enjoy it, too! Your computer is a must for a working holiday, but remember those fun entertaining accessories that go along with it. Bring along a few movies. They'll help during the flight, even if you don't use them in Australia. And of course, we can't forget the camera! Make memories during your trip. Have fun, stay cool, and enjoy Australia!
