It gives me pleasure to write to this topic, because I understand the way both men AND women think. I have many friends of both genders, so I can honestly say the following ten things will resonate with BOTH genders on some level. Let's start with the number one thing all men should know:

1. HOW TO COMMUNICATE WITH WOMEN
BOOKS have been written on this subject; TALK SHOWS, magazines, and seminars deal with it, because men and women truly do not understand each other. Boiled down to its absolute basics, men talk in short, static sentences, and women like LONG sentences, with a lot of detail, even if it seems crazy to the man. Rarely will you find a man who understands this, but it's true.

The second part of miscommunication lies in the fact that women pause for a breath before finishing a sentence. For example, let's take the dreaded "how do you feel?"
Men cringe at that "sentence", unaware that it is not truly a sentence, merely PART of one. For instance, here's an excellent example of what I mean.

I was in my kitchen, thinking of going somewhere, because it was such a nice day. I said, "How do you feel " as the START of my sentence. Hubby jumped right in, with the old "how dare I bring that up? Don't I know he doesn't want to talk about how he feels?" At which point I ran off, very angry. I never TOLD him the rest of my thought, which WOULD have been "about going on a picnic: it's beautiful out." When a woman says something, and then stops, it just a PAUSE, not the end of her thought.

2. BE ROMANTIC
This involves more than candy, flowers and long talks with your girl. That may be what initially attracted her to you, but romance is more complex. It means caring about her feelings on a deeper level, and she, yours. Everyone needs to hear that unexpected "I love you" that is said on impulse. The back/shoulder rubs, the watching a movie you BOTH like together. And last but not least, it means being vulnerable around your wife. A myth that men cling to says they will be laughed at if they relax and take a risk on being "softer" around women. Nothing could be further from the truth. Being more open around your wife is every woman's fantasy husband. There is NO laughing, because such a man is rare.

3. TAKE CARE OF HIMSELF
This refers to acting like an adult, NOT a child. It doesn't take much energy to act the way you did BEFORE you got married; to have respect for your things, your hygiene, and your attitude concerning marriage. A wife
