TNA Wrestling first went mainstream with a great concept....something different from WWE. But unfortunately for them they have not been able to capitalize on that. The 'stars' of TNA are mostly wrestlers that WWE did not want anymore with the exception of Christian Cage and Kurt Angle. Guys like Team 3D need to go. Rhino is a waste of space. Booker T has a bit left but they are trying to use his 'King' gimmick without infringing on the copywrite. Black Reign was a pathetic idea. And trying to use Sting's mysterious side form 1997 WCW does not work.TNA has not used Kurt Angle properly. He HAS to have an issue with every show and nothing works out for him. Its quite boring to see him. Christian Cage on the other hand after an initial push has become a B wrestler on the show. Teaming with guys like Rhino?!?! Are you kidding? Rhino was never anything and will never be anything and is just holding Christain Cage back. Tomko started to get a push and was well liked by the fans but due to his commitments to Japan he was unable to stick around long term. The only old WWE guy I see them using properly is Kevin Nash. By making him 'help out' other stars it gives them some sense of credibility to their own talents. Helping Samoan Joe become a start would not have been done without his help. They have a couple future stars in the way of AJ Styles, Robert Rude and Kaz but who knows how they will use them. The writing itself for TNA is TERRIBLE! At their shows there are constant chants of "fire Russo" and "this sucks". Vince Russo helped WWE in the attitude era then helped WCW fold. Why are they using him for TNA? The only thing TNA is able to do in their shows is try to create huge 'problems' between wrestlers and it does not work. Fueds jump around way too much and they will have guys team up with anyone for any reason without any sense of stability to it. The X division is a good spin on the cruiserweight division if its showcased the right way. The 6 sided ring, although unique in concept, I think hold alot of the 'wrestling' part back. It is much smaller overall and does not allow alot of basic moves to be used properly. All in all I think TNA has a chance to be a competitor one day but they need to make a few big changes. STOP using old WWE gimicks from the 80's and 90's. Come up with a few unique ideas of their own....which they actually do pretty well with their unique matches. Quit doing interviews with the same guys with the same problems over and over again. And lastly work on more realistic story lines.
