Solving the problems of illiteracy in India

Article: 'God said let there be light'.Is the light of education available, in each individual's home in India is another billion dollar question. With the reservation percentage increase, the opportunities available for the so called various forward communities
is very less. With politicians bringing in more and more reservations for their caste,
the opportunities for lower income group-forward communities are less. By giving the backward communities reservation, inspite of their less than significant performance, the systerm nearly spoils them.

There are a group of youngsters kept illiterate to woo the vanities of the
politicians. Starting with the school education,at various levels there are dropouts, this in turn leads to juvenile deliquency. The percentage of juvenile deliquency had considerably
increased in the past years. In a secular nation like India, imagine how many castes are included in the application form list is left to your imagination.

Basically ,to provide education at grass route level the students must be divided
according to their economic background rather than the caste. A lower income forward
community must also be given an equal opportunity .

With the whole nation thinking of moving towards nuclear energy and getting the global
recognition and thinking about providing jobs in nuclear estate, these jobs may or may not reach the grass route level. The signing of treaty will facilitate in purchasing energy requirements which India currently facing and trying to meet massive energy demands of future. But the literacy of the politicians is limited and hazardous nature of nuclear energy had not reached our politicians who run our nations. Our politicians still remain illiterate by not even knowing the acronym for IAEA. The flow of money must be towards revamping the educational edifice rather than running behind
the trend of building trendy nuclear reactors.

The IIT's and IIM's in India are supposed to be one of the respected and reputed
organisations in India. To bring in reservations in these reputed organisation may not
improve the educational system and the knowledge these organisation provides.
Quantity is not quality. Better teacher training colleges and well payed teaching
community is the solution in improving the educational system in a less developed
country like ours. Let us work towards revamping the educational edifice of India and thereby
improving the literacy rate and technical literacy rate
in INDIA.
